work that matters

We digitise and automate work that matters, and build the capabilities to sustain change.

Who we are

Camaniko is a Brisbane-based digital and education consultancy. We work with allied health, financial services firms, not-for-profits, and growing organisations, bringing enterprise-grade delivery at a scale and cost that enterprise firms don't serve.

We make an impact that matters

Most consultancies deliver technology. Others deliver training. We do both, because lasting transformation requires people who are confident, skilled, and ready to adapt.

Our directors bring forty years' combined experience across the technology and education industries. This rare combination allows us to deliver secure, scalable technical solutions alongside the strategic learning experiences that drive adoption and long-term capability growth.

Every engagement integrates technical delivery with change enablement, ensuring your investment delivers measurable, enduring outcomes.

What we do

We work across technology and capability because the two are inseparable. Every engagement we take on is about either digitising the work so your people can focus on what matters, or building the capability to sustain change when technology lands. These are our five practices.

AI, automation, and emerging technology

We do not just advise on AI. We build and deploy it. From intelligent process automation and AI-ready infrastructure through to evaluating, piloting, and scaling emerging technologies in real environments, we help organisations move from interest to implementation while managing the risks that matter.

Digital strategy and transformation

We help organisations decide where to invest in technology, and build the roadmap to get there. Our strategy work has informed platform selection for ASX-listed companies, delivered competitive cloud bake-off assessments, and guided organisations from legacy data centres to modern cloud environments.

Cloud architecture and migration

We design, build, and migrate cloud environments across AWS and Azure. From landing zones and governance frameworks through to disaster recovery and hybrid infrastructure, we work across the full lifecycle. Our experience includes zero-outage migrations of global VMware estates, resilient multi-region architectures, and landing zone automation that reduced deployment time from days to hours.

Organisational learning and capability

Technology only delivers value when the people using it know how. We design workforce capability programs for organisations adopting new platforms, AI tools, or modernised ways of working, grounded in evidence-based practice and human-centred design. From leadership development and change management through to AI adoption and digital literacy, our programs close skills gaps, build confidence in emerging tools, and accelerate the pace of change. We have equipped over 2,000 professionals to confidently adopt new technologies, with satisfaction scores above 90% and a 70% reduction in support requests.

Learning design and educational innovation

We co-design structured learning programs for educational institutions and organisations that need rigorous, outcomes-focused development. Our work spans accredited curriculum for universities and RTOs through to professional development and compliance training for corporate and industry settings, including AI literacy and responsible use. We embed inclusive pedagogy, emerging educational technologies, and evidence-based design, and have scaled high-quality programs to tens of thousands of learners across multiple faculties and organisations.

Selected work

How we have helped organisations navigate complex technology and capability challenges.

Energy
Migrating a core business application to AWS
Cloud architecture and migration

A large energy company was running a core, multi-environment line-of-business application in an on-premises data centre. Rising hosting costs and ageing infrastructure were creating operational risk. The application was business-critical and downtime was not an option.

We led the project end-to-end: assessing the existing environment, designing the target AWS architecture, and managing the migration across multiple environments.

Outcome

The application was successfully migrated with no disruption to business operations, eliminating significant ongoing data centre costs and positioning the organisation on a modern, scalable platform.

Higher education
Transitioning 50,000 students to a new learning platform
Organisational learning and capability

A major Australian university was transitioning to a new learning management system (LMS), a change affecting over 2,000 academic staff and more than 50,000 students. Academic staff needed to be confident and self-sufficient in the new platform, and the transition could not disrupt the student experience.

We designed and delivered a comprehensive capability-building program: institution-wide learning materials, facilitation sessions across every faculty, and direct guidance on technology solutions, with deliberate design for accessibility and varying digital literacy levels.

Outcome

Training sessions received over 90% satisfaction scores. Staff engagement with professional development increased by 30%. Service requests dropped 70%, a direct measure of confidence and self-sufficiency.

Global logistics
Zero-outage APAC cloud migration with disaster recovery
Cloud architecture and migration

A global logistics company needed to migrate their APAC VMware private cloud environment to a hybrid cloud model. The estate was complex, the business operated across multiple time zones, and any outage to business-critical systems was unacceptable.

We designed a hybrid target state combining VMware Cloud on AWS with AWS-native services, deployed VMware Cloud Disaster Recovery, and led the migration from start to finish.

Outcome

The entire APAC estate was migrated with zero outage to business-critical systems, delivering a modern hybrid environment with robust disaster recovery.
